SUSTAINABILITY, anyone?
As a manufacturer of high-quality special sensor technology, it is a particular concern of ours to design our products in such a way that they can be repaired if they get damaged. Right at the design stage of the article, we pay attention to a simple - and thus, cost-effective for the customer - replacement option for defective components. We consider it our duty and our responsibility to be able to deliver a product even after decades of its initial launch. A guarantee seal in the respective data sheets additionally indicates the possibility of repair.

Moreover, one of our primary objectives is that our production should be CO
2 neutral. To that end, we have completely converted our heating system to use renewable raw materials. The wood chips for this come from so-called beetle trees from our own forest as well as from the surrounding forests.
We generate the electrical energy that is required for operations with our own 100kW photovoltaic system that is installed on the roof of our company building.

The surplus electrical energy is used to recharge the energy storage units and to charge our fleet of electric cars and our employees' vehicles. It goes without saying that the solar power is also available for use by e-bikes.
Of course, we are aware that all that is not enough for achieving CO
2 neutral production, since we continue to use paper and packaging material. But here too, we try and use recycling paper, and to re-use boxes and filling material multiple times. In this context, we have what we believe is a nice little idea:
Packaging tape with a note pointing out that the box can definitely be used several times. 😉

Apart from the green spaces that are customary for a new building and which we think are quite justifiably specified in the regulations, we have also laid out what is probably one of the longest rock gardens in the area, with a total length of approx. 100m.

The bumblebees are very excited, but in addition, we have also started to put up bumblebee boxes to try to counteract the decline in the bee population.

A bumblebee box can be home to as many as 600 bumblebees, and there is enough nectar in the surrounding orchards. Our neighbours will be grateful to us 😉.
In the coming years, we will gradually increase the number of bumblebee boxes. FR (Frankfurter Rundschau) dated 14/02/2020: ECO-LOGICAL: Save the bees: a study by biologists in the University of Ottawa in Canada showed that the bee population is falling considerably. From "Maple Land" back to the forests of Bavaria: we recently planted about 600 maple trees in our little forest. In a few years, our maple woods, apart from offering a lovely view, will also sequester a few tonnes of CO
2 every year.
